Creative, authentic, and "beyond the norm," Chicago-born artist V-Aye (Vanessa Abron) has spent a lifetime preparing for the solo stage. Though she began as a shy child performing for a "front row" of dolls and stuffed animals on her living room floor, her subconscious was building a powerhouse.

Deeply influenced by the Motown and P-Funk of her parents’ era and the hip-hop and house music of her Chicago roots, Vanessa studied everything from piano and dance to theatre and visual arts. This multidisciplinary background created an artist known for an energetic, spontaneous, and deeply empathetic approach. As one supporter noted, “She comes across with such joy and lightness because it’s genuinely who she is at her core.”

Her debut EP, Ctrl Alt Delete, was born from a simple, recurring question from her community: "When are you going to drop something?" The project is a deep dive into internal recreation and personal evolution.

“We all know to use Ctrl Alt Delete when a computer needs a hard reboot,” Vanessa explains. “But we all need that in our lives and relationships, too. This project frames that concept as: Take Control, Alter when necessary, and Delete what no longer serves you.”

Through her music, V-Aye invites her audience to explore their own dimensions and embrace the courage to hit their own "hard reboot."
